Texas Hold'em Poker Concert Fund Raiser at Side Pockets in Blue Springs

Wednesday, April 18, 2007

While the orchestral presentations are always promoted as "business casual" to encourage an unpretentious atmosphere, those desiring an even more laid-back experience are urged to show their support for the symphony by attending the Texas Hold 'Em fundraising party scheduled for April 21. The jovial evening, with an optional suggested donation of $35 per entry, will pit competitors against each other and the house for a night of friendly gaming. Among the most popular of community poker games, Texas Hold 'Em has gained acclaim as an easily-learned, no-limit betting game thanks to the advent of such televised contests as the "World Series of Poker" and "World Poker Tour." Contestants are invited to the tables at 6 p.m. at Side Pockets at 1237 S.W. Missouri 7 in Blue Springs. Reservations for attendance may be made by contacting Jeff Quibell at jquibell@cprosinc.com.
